TEERZ – The Documentary

Producing a documentary about mental and verbal abuse came to me after writing my memoir. I started to do research and found it to be quite disturbing on how many people, men and women that have been traumatized by this kind of abuse. What was even more disturbing was the fact that no one wanted to talk about it. How are we suppose to heal if we never talk about it?

This documentary’s goal is to bring awareness to mental and verbal abuse and how devastating it is to our lives! My intentions are to share stories with the viewer along with some research. Heartbreaking stories that will leave you questioning how you treat others and also how to heal from your own past conditioning. How many times to do you have to be called “stupid” before you start to believe it?

This documentary also intends to dive into the mental abuse associated with social media. Is this “new” social media really a good thing? How many young kids have committed suicide over the words they have read about themselves? What is happening to our world when everything is done through a computer and we have lost the ability to talk face to face?

It’s so easy to just ignore this since we can’t see it. Mental and verbal abuse leaves scars that are buried deep within us.
